Tony
DePrince is a life-long resident of Magnolia and graduated from
Sterling High School in 1991. He went on to get his bachelors’
degree from York College of Pennsylvania where he was very
active in student government serving as both the treasurer and
parliamentarian of the Student Senate. He is currently enrolled
at Fairleigh Dickinson University and is studying for his
Masters Degree in Administrative Science. Tony works full time
in public education in the area of instructional technology and
project coordination. Professionally, he serves on various us
boards and committees at the county and state level in the areas
of distance learning, educational technology and global
education issues. Tony is an active member of the Federation of
Educational Service Professionals (an AFL-CIO affiliated union)
where he serves as President of his local. He has been a
featured presenter at many regional and national conventions on
various topics. Tony has been a feature presenter at a
conference at the United Nations regarding global education
issues in schools.
Since being
elected to council in 1998, Tony has served as council
president, liaison to the planning and zoning board, and
director of codes and licensing. Currently, he serves as
director of public safety overseeing the police department, fire
company, ambulance corps, emergency management and municipal
court. He also serves as borough liaison to the Magnolia School
District.
Tony is an active, life-long parishioner of St. Gregory Church
where he serves in several lay ministries. Tony and his wife
Becki live in district #3 along with their son Anthony.
