BettyAnn is serving in her
15th year as mayor. She has also served 9 years on borough
council. BettyAnn is very dedicated to our community. She
is a life member of the Magnolia Ambulance Corps where she
has held numerous officer positions, and is also a member of
the Magnolia United Methodist Church.
BettyAnn has received the
Betsy Davis Award from the Girl Scouts of Camden County and
was honored as one of the Women of Outstanding Achievement.
The Courier Post honored her as one of the six outstanding
women in Camden County. BettyAnn received a Life Saving
Proclamation from the Camden County Freeholders in 2000 and
was elected as a member of the Mayors Hall of Fame with the
New Jersey League of Municipalities. BettyAnn also received
the Camden County Freedom Medal in 2005.
BettyAnn is very involved in
organizations outside of Magnolia. She is involved with the
Sterling High School Marching Band, Sterling Field Hockey
and the Sterling Lacrosse booster clubs and is a member of
The Lindenwold Moose. BettyAnn also sits on the Board of
Directors for the Camden County YWCA and is on the Board for
the Camden County Volunteer Center. She is also Past
President of the Camden County Mayor’s Association. The New
Jersey Conference of Mayors also occupies her time where she
sits on the Board of Directors. One can also find BettyAnn
in Trenton fighting for property tax reform with the New
Jersey League of Municipalities.
BettyAnn currently works full
time for the Camden County Department of Health and Human
Services, in the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse
where she is the Camden County Municipal Alliance
Coordinator. BettyAnn is very involved in all health
services that the county offers from flu shots to the Camden
County Women’s Health Conference. She was also chosen as
Employee of the quarter in August of 2005. In addition, she
travels to Trenton frequently to serve on the Legislative
Subcommittee for the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and
Drug Abuse. BettyAnn is chairman of the Substance Abuse
Committee for Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies and is
involved with Camden County Communities Against Tobacco
which helps educate our youth about tobacco.
BettyAnn grew up in Magnolia
and is a graduate of Magnolia Public School, Sterling High
School and also attended Camden County College. She is
married to Robert (Brian) who is involved with the Magnolia
Fire Company. They have two daughters, Melissa (19) and
Karin (15), and a son Brian (11).
