Borough of Magnolia Electronics Recycling
01/04/2011
The Electronic Waste Management Act went into
effect January 1 in order to reduce the amount of
electornics that make their way into our landfills. It
is now required to recycling electronic devices such as TVs,
computers and computer monitors. The law doesn't
include cell phones, DVD players, VCRs, game consoles or
other electronic devices -- but most of these are also
recylable.
Please place your
electronic items curbside on your trash collection day.
These items include:
computers, keyboards, VCRs, scanners, DVD players, tape
players, monitors, stereo equipment, typewriters, printers,
TVs, laptops, modems, telecommunication equipment, fax
machines, mouses, radios, answering machines, and
telephones. The Department of Public Works will
pick-up the items.
There are also several Camden
County wide recylcing drop-offs that residents may
participate in. Dates offered by the Camden County
Division of Environmental Affairs for electronics recycling
include: April 9, Camden County Public Works Complex, 2311
Egg Harbor Road, Lindenwold, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; June
18, Camden County College, parking area behind "CIM"
Building, Peter Cheeseman Road, Blackwood, 8:30 a.m. to
12:30 p.m.; and Oct. 22, Camden County Public Works Complex,
2311 Egg Harbor Road, Lindenwold, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
