Camden County Announces 2008 Influenza and Pneumococcal
Immunizations Schedule 07/09/2008 The Camden County Board of Freeholders and the County Department of Health & Human Services encourage those residents in "high priority" groups - people age 65 and above, the chronically ill and pregnant women - to get the flu shot. The shots are highly recommended for residents with weakened immune or cardiovascular systems, chronic metabolic diseases, renal dysfunction, or blood disorders. Because children under the age of 9 require pediatric doses of the vaccine, no shots will be given to children under 9 years old. Shots are offered at no out-of-pocket cost to residents. Those receiving MEDICARE must bring their MEDICARE ID CARDS with them. The Borough of Magnolia will host a Flu Shot location on Wednesday, October 29 from 9:00 AM through 12:00 NOON at the Magnolia Community Center located at 425 Brook Avenue, Magnolia, NJ. For more information, call the Camden County Department of Health & Human Services, toll free at (800)999-9045 or visit the county website at www.camdencounty.com.
